It is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy.A new study by the University of Illinois found that a drug, called, reduced inflammation associated with an allergic reaction, and that this effect was greater in people who took Celebrex. This means that a drug like Celebrex can help relieve pain and swelling in the joints, which is why they are called arthritis pain relievers.
In the study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the researchers evaluated the effectiveness of Celebrex in relieving joint pain.
The drug was developed by AstraZeneca.
The study, led by Dr. Lisa G. Ricks, a team leader in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago, was conducted over a four-year period at five high-functioning academic medical centers. The researchers examined a total of 100 patients who were assigned to either receive a 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, or 30 mg of Celebrex.
Dr. G. Ricks said that although patients were treated with the lowest dose of Celebrex, they were still receiving the lowest dose of Celebrex for the entire treatment period. This means that if Celebrex were to be effective, the drug would likely be more effective in alleviating pain, compared to the lowest dose of Celebrex.
The researchers said that the overall effect of this study was relatively small and that some of the results may be attributable to the small sample size.
The researchers concluded that the drug was an effective treatment for arthritis pain, with no serious adverse events.
"A drug like Celebrex can be used to relieve pain and swelling in joints and other non-inflammatory conditions," said Dr. Ricks. "We are pleased with the results, and hope that the study will inform future generations to be more comfortable and aware of their arthritis needs."
Ricks said that her research was supported by the American College of Physicians and the National Institutes of Health, as well as the National Formulary of the National Prescribing Information.
In addition, the study was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
The National Institute of Aging sponsored the study. The researchers were led by Dr. Susan H. Minkowski, director of the Institute of Medicine.

The study used data from a large, population-based study in the United States. Participants were selected based on the criteria of having experienced pain for more than two years, taking anti-inflammatory medications (celecoxib, ibuprofen, or naproxen) and having an increased need for joint replacement (Celebrex).
The researchers also looked at the effects of taking Celebrex at the lowest dose in comparison with taking a higher dose for at least two years. Patients taking Celebrex received a 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, or 30 mg dose, respectively, for up to two years.
The researchers found that taking a higher dose of Celebrex (5 mg for up to two years) had no significant adverse events.
The study was presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Physicians, and was funded by AstraZeneca.
This is an extended version of a statement from AstraZeneca on the company’s Web site.
The study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in May.
The researchers noted that the results do not confirm or refute a finding by the researchers that taking a higher dose of Celebrex for at least two years was associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis and fractures. The researchers also noted that their results were based on a retrospective study of a larger sample of arthritis patients.
